December Goals – 2018 Edition

As I told you in my last post, November was not my best month for writing at all. I tried to make things, but it didn’t happen as I expected and I almost gave up. In fact, I failed NaNoWriMo 2018 horribly. However, I didn’t give up, and I am taking last month’s Goals and turning them into December Goals. They are pretty much going to stay the same, although I am going to introduce some twitches and changes in order to improve them all and, at the same time, prepare my work for 2019 (it’s so close!).

Recuerda que todos mis artículos están en español, igual que éste:

  • Write everyday (it could be writing, planning or world-building)
  • Read the remaining books about writing I still need to read
  • Have everything ready before actually writing:
    • Outline (general and specific outline for scenes and chapters)
    • Characters (protagonists, antagonists and secondary characters)
    • World building (map, regions, descriptions, background, general context)
  • Check EVERYTHING when it is done BEFORE writing – No loose strings!
  • Write (at least) 25,000 words during the whole month (re-write the novel, I’ll talk about it soon) (And yes, only half of the usual NaNoWriMo goal)

  • Post twice a week, focusing on posts with accountability about NaNoWriMo
  • Step up the “Promotion Game”
  • Get used to the new plan/schedule for posting and take notes about any problem with it (minor and major ones) + Adapt posting schedule to something more interesting (ask for feedback!)
  • Set new categories and distribution of the whole blog
  • Solve problems about Spanish version’s hosting
  • Plan, design and execute Suprise #1 for my readers/subscribers
  • Reflect about what I want for my blog on 2019 and mark a path to follow

  • Exercise (almost) everyday
  • Eat well (almost) everyday
  • Get yourself some free time (reading, playing, watching series/movies, meditating, etc.)
  • Spend as much time as possibly with my family
  • Prepare Christmas’ gifts and postcards

I mean, they are not just a few goals, but I am confident I can make most of them real.

So, what about your December goals? How are they going to be? Are you confident about them? Have you already planned what are you going to do on 2019? Let me know in the comments below or in my social networks (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook) <3
