As I said in a previous post, I have not been posting on this blog BUT I have been doing my work regarding writing and improving my craft. And, taking into account what I talked about my progress in the last Monthly Goals that I posted on 2017, I have some WIP (or Works in Progress) that I want to talk about and show you in detail.

WIP 1: My very first novel. I have talked recently about it, since I am working on it again during this NaNoWriMo 2018. My first novel is called (at least for now, it could change in the future) The Journey of the Dragon: Book 1, The Gods, and it is based on a world of fantasy. Of course it is! I don’t want to say a lot about its plot at the moment, because it could change drastically during the review I am currently making, but I know it is going to be awesome.
WIP 2: El Sepulturero (a.k.a. The Undertaker). This is the first short story that I have ever written. It is settled on a different world than the one of my first novel, since the background is a Romantic one. But not one about love, but about the basis of Romanticism itself. In fact, it is very influenced by the Gothic branch of the Romanticism, and it has a bit of Poe, a bit of Lovecraft and even a bit of Stoker.
WIP 3: Carnival. This started as an experiment here on my blog, to let my creativity grow and try to make something completely different from what I was used to. And it was a success! Such a big one that… I hid this short story from the blog and I chose to work on it on a more private way, in order to analyse what I was writing and squeeze all its potential. This is a very colorful, pretty and candid story, heavily influenced by folktales.
WIP 4: My second novel. I started working on it on NaNoWriMo 2017. Well, a month before that, since I wasn’t able to do much on that November. However, I developed a world that I love and I was able to portrait the main character as I wanted to. I have lots of work to do with this story, since I can’t even tell if I properly wrote anything from it, but it is my second “love”, the one after my first novel. This story, by the way, has nothing to do with that first one, it is very dark, but not like the one in El Sepulturero, because it still has a lot to do with Fantasy. I mean, sue me. (JK. Please, don’t sue…)
WIP 5: A secret project. I started working on this idea about 6 months ago. It is not developed at all, I have just hints of the story as I would like it to be. However, I am working a lot in the world, because I would love this one to be turned into a videogame, in the shape of an RPG, and I know how important world and characters are for this kind of game. It is strongly influenced by D&D-like backgrounds and approaches, both in the sense of the type of world we could find on it and the structure of story and configuration of the characters.
Disclaimer: These are ONLY my personal projects, and they do not include the projects I am working on with other people.
